January 2010 Annual Kickstart - 7 Day Urban Detox Week



6 week Seasonally Themed Beginners Course
6 x 1 hour classes at 6.30pm
If you want a basic introduction to the fundamentals of yoga or a simple refresher come along to the Beginners Course - Monday nights for 6 weeks. This course will cover all the basics you need to start burning up the mat.


Saturdays, 1 - 3pm
Price: $40, includes one week free yoga for the days immediately following the workshop*

In this two hour workshop we will explore alignment of the basic postures, learn about breathing and pranayama, and explore meditation techniques that make up the practice of Hatha Vinyasa yoga. This workshop is excellent for preparing to deepen your practice for attending Open Level Vinyasa yoga classes. Yoga is appropriate for just about anyone. You don't need a quiet mind, strength or flexibility to do yoga (though those gifts are exactly what your will develop through regular practice). You simply need the desire to show up and do your best. This workshop is perfect for absolute beginners as well as for more experienced students who want to review their foundation practice. All students are welcome to attend and bring in questions the’ve always wanted to know, but have never before asked.

If you want to continue building on your fundamentals of yoga or a simple refresher come along to the Beginners Level 2 Course - 6 weeks.

A 1 day residential introductory workshop for all women exploring their inner yogic practise. Through engaged dialogue and experiential exercise we will unfold the woman's path of power and wisdom and how to live it in today's world.

Enjoy heightened self-esteem, intuition and psychic ability

Note: Whilst not a health workshop, for those of you who suffer with menstrual problems or for some reason struggle with your bodies, this workshop is potentially enormously healing.

Class size is limited. Pre-registration is required to assure your space in class, and there will be a minimum amount of 6 students that are necessary to run the workshop.

Many women come to yoga when carrying their first child, looking for a way to keep as strong and healthy as possible in pregnancy. There can be no more important time to take care of yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. Yoga will help you to have the best possible pregnancy and delivery, whatever your health and circumstances. Practising the simplest poses improves your fitness and well-being, while the relaxation, breathing and meditation will help you to handle the whole process, from concetpion to birth and afterward, with greater assurance and calm.

You know yoga is good for the strength and flexibility of your musculo-skeletal body but yoga's benefits go much deeper than this. Many yoga postures, breathing techniques and relaxation poses create deep and lasting beneficial effects for the internal body.

Yoga can contribute to digestive health, reproductive health + cardiovascular health and also has beneficial and positive effects on the glandular systems which can assist with hormonal balance.

In this workshop, we will explore yoga postures, breathing techniques and relaxation practices for digestive health. Digestion includes processing not only the food that we eat but the experiences that we have in our lives.

This workshop will include practices for regulating your physical digestion ... we will also explore yoga practices that assist with mental and emotional processing!

The postures and practices that we will be teaching are aimed at students who have been practicing consistently for 6 months or more.
Maximum 15 students.
